I wish these fit me in the size I ordered (1/2 size smaller than my usual size), but they don't since they seem pretty much true to size. I normally wear a 7 1/2 in most shoes and boots, sometimes an 8, sometimes a 7 in other Frye boot styles that run big, but in this one, the 7 seems just not quite... Read More

These are a nice boot that had a very short break-in period. Unlike other reviewers, I found these boots to fit well in my regular size for Frye boots, size 10. At first, because of the heel, my toes were sort of pinched, but after a couple of days wear, they are very comfortable. The leather is softish, but thick, so the shaft stands up when empty. A very nice looking, high quality boot from which I expect to get years of wear.

Unfortunately the shaft was too tight around my calf over bare skin. I'm not a large girl but there's no way I could've worn a sock under these (size 6.5) much less tucked jeans intot hem. Also there was a prounounced "wrinkle" on the very front of one of the boots at the top that was a quality issue. I would've sent them back for that alone but the fit issue was my biggest problem.

I watched these boots on STP for months waiting for a coupon - finally got one and purchased immediately! Love their style, appear to be very well made. Unfortunately they do need to be broken in. Not particularly comfortable right out of the box. I intend to work on that!

I think that for the fact that I bought these boots for less than half the cost of the full price boot they are spectacular. Yes, there is a scratch up the back of one of boots. I really did not notice it until I seriously inspected them. The leather is beautiful and they fit like a glove. I ordered half a size smaller than usual and I think they fit great, as I want to be able to wear socks with them. I am going to wear these boots a lot this fall!! I can't wait.
