I'M GOING TO LIKE THIS PAIR OF BIBS, THE INSULATED PART GOES UP YOUR BACK WHICH IS IMPORTANT, AND THE LEG ZIPPERS ARE RELATIVELY LONG WHICH MAKS THEM EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF OVER A PAIR OF BOOTS. THEY ARE ALSO LARGE ENOUGH TO WEAR OVER MY REGULAR CLOTHES

mine was marked with an XL tag, was actually a Large, which is what I ordered. Sizing is great as I plan to use these on a Hunting trip to colorado this winter Felt pretty warm when I tried it on in the house. could fit a bit better on the sides but for what it is intended, I'm not going to any fashion shows.
Yes the Gamehide Blaze Orange Hunting Bibs would be suitable for sking. They would not have some of the features that you would find in ski bibs such as cuff gaiters to keep snow out of your pant legs, but they could serve as a dual purpose hunting/ski bids and you would be easy to find on the slopes.

With a 38-40 waist, you should order an Extra Large in the Gamehide hunting bibs. The Large fits waists 36-38, but the garment tends to run a slightly small. An Extra Large will give you the option of wearing bulky clothing underneath. The inseam on an Extra Large is 31 inches; 30 inches on the Large.
