more support and longer lasting than more pricey shoes. I like to do long 20+ hikes in nasty, rocky terrain, that hurts the soles of the shoes and my body- these hold well on both accounts. a great buy!

On my first technical trail run these shoes seemed to do well on unstable surfaces and fast downhills. THere is not as much cushion factor as some shoes I've run in, but they do feel stable.

These reviews aren't lying- the toe are of this shoe is ridiculously huge. And the whole shoe gives your feet the appearance of being pigeon-toed and clown-like. And the tongue is really wide and ugly. Not a good shoe. I can't use it for what I wanted (trail running), and I'm a little bummed.

Bought them to replace the heavier Garmont hiking shoe. Great for walking around everyday. Haven't been trail running, but they have great traction.
