Sizing is off, but good quality boot

For the price I think these are great. I'm normally a US size 10, and took the advice and ordered a 10.5.... unfortunately still too tight - not enough toe room and if you hike up and down hills, you know how that works out. So to be really specific, order 1 size up, not a half.

Nevertheless, these look good quality and are pretty tough. Look like they'll take a little time to wear in though. The arch support seemed a little lacking for my feet. Too bad Sierra doesn't have a size 11 - I would have changed it out in a jiffy. There is no rand, but for most terrain types, these will do fine.

Only one potential issue. Between the horizontal eyelets and the vertical ones, there is a cloth eyelet. Seems to me that this is a weak point and a strange choice for the boot designers. But at this price, and for the kind of hiking I do now, it's not a worry.

If you're into looks, I got the brown version and for an old fuddy like myself, these are a classic hiking boot design. Look great.
