I have worn these shoes for work (as a mail carrier) and they are comfortable and waterproof. An added bonus was that they are very warm, not so they overheat your feet in warmer temps but they seem to regulate well due to the lining. It looks to be made of the same metallic type material that is used on cold weather gear to reflect back your own body heat. I wore these all day with temps -12 with a toe warmer and my feet stayed toasty walking through snow! I even chose these over my 1000g insulated boots! They are lightweight and have a roomy toe box. Only negatives for me was the height of the ankle, it is more like a shoe than a typical mid height hiking boot and the sole is rather flat and slippery. I have read that they fall apart where the toe bumper attaches but have not had them long enough to experience that.

I bought a half size smaller because they say that they run big; the shoes are just right. Good support, comfortable and they breathe. I look forward to getting them out on a hike.

I just bought this shoes after considering getting a light hiking/goretex pair for a long time. So far I really like this boots for snow, wet and even icy surface. I haven't hiked in these yet but i would probably get thick socks to wear with. I think garmont boots are pretty narrow so if you have wide feet, it's probably good idea to try other brands.

Very uncomfortable and not foot fitting. I usually wear Ecco/Merrell/timberland and decided to try Garmont - bad choice for me ! Very sorry I ordered a new pair without trying it somewhere else. The shipping back and fees cost $15, for "trying" something new.

I couldn't use the product. I ordered it a half size smaller as directed and it was fine in the length, but too narrow across ball of the foot by a considerable margin. I can't imagine these working for those of us in the wider-feet department.

Online catalog stated large, buy 1/2 size smaller. I ended up getting my normal size. Just a bit to small to go for smaller size.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box. I've only had them for a few days, but have already hiked about 12-15 miles in them. Other than being a tad big, I am pleased with them.

Time will tell if the areas of the tread glued to the sole will hold up
