As I am new to backcountry, basically a bump skier, I am used to a stiffer, more responsive boot. I guess you give something up when you need a boot that has to be comfortable skinning uphill for hours.

I was looking for an all-around AT boot that I could use for AT skiing at our closed ski areas in the spring, plus regular season skiing, and some true backcountry.
This is the boot. It fits better and is more confortable and ajustable than my downhill Lange boots. I'm happy with them.
Best Uses: Park, Powder
Describe Yourself: Intermediate
Pros: Buckles Easily, Comfortable, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight, Quality Construction

Just received these boots in time for the ski season, so haven't used them yet. However, the fit is great (I tried on several brands locally to figure out what size to buy on STP). The liners will be heat-fitted, so that will improve the fit even more. The boots seem lightweight and comfortable, and I can't wait to try them out.
