While not the newest model on the shelf, this boot is comfortable and a solid performer. It's solid, supportive, and surprisingly half a pound lighter per pair than the hot red Dynafits I'm comparing them to. I may not feel that half pound difference on my feet now but I suspect after a long day climbing it will add up.... or subtract from my end of the day exhaustion. I'm kind of a traditionalist and like the straightforward blue color. Kind of old fashioned, maybe a bit dated. Still as if anyone will notice?

These boots rock the mountain! Uphill hiking mode is smooth and comfortable. The four buckle, double-angle adjustments for downhill mode lock the skier into a controllable power position, for the ride of your life on every run. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Great boot with good flex for touring and the two different setting for downhill is a major plus. Awesome all round boot that is perfect for touring and that I can take in the backcountry. Accepts dynafit so I dont have to have different boots! Perfect!

Heard great things about these boots and for good reason. They are very light and although they have more flex than some of the other AT offerings it's isn't so soft that it would be bothersome. That flex would translate into a much more comfy climb and the higher you climb the longer the run! Now the bad... I don't consider myself to have very wide feet but these things are crushers. The fore foot area is very narrow as is the toe box. I tried these on in the house and I had to take them off after 3-4 min. I called Garmont to ask them about it and they told me that it was one of the more narrow boots they sold and because of that a lot of people couldn't get them to fit. So... if you have a narrow foot go for it, you won't be disappointed. If you have an average to wide foot look elsewhere. I am sending mine back.

Worked great for me, warm and comfy with plenty of support and flex. I liked being able to walk decently in them too.

This boot has it all: G-Liner, cant cuff adjustment, 3 different lean angles (including 1 for walking), and the upper buckles can be moved inward or outward by 18mm to adjust to different foot/leg sizes. Although I bought this in a size US 11-1/2 (MP 29.5), the sole length is only 330mm while the Garmont Shaman Freeride AT boot in a US 10-1/2 (MP 29.0) has a sole length of 337mm.

These are my second pair, having finally worn out my old pair. When I find a winner, I stay with it! Even after a full day of touring up to a 10th Mountain hut, these boots still wear like slippers. But these 4 buckle boots still have the beef to transfer energy to the downhill, just like my alpine boots, but at a much lighter weight!
