5.0 out of 5 stars. Not just for men!Reviewed by Slm-c from CT on Tuesday, February 17, 2015I have a wide foot (bunions) and I find that men's boots sometimes fit better than women's. I read the reviews and decided that the 8 men's might just be a good fit. I was right! Love these boots! They keep my feet warmer than my regular hiking boots due to the Thinsulate insulation. I wear liners and a medium/thick hiking sock...So very happy with the purchase and fit. Ladies....I wear 8.5 in women's shoes....and men's normally 7-7.5, but as these run small...the 8 is perfect. There is NO way I could have found a better price AND...ZERO break-in time! Thanks STP!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good boots if you get your sizeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dillon outdoors. from Dillon, CO on Thursday, January 29, 2015I wore these boots around the house for a while to break them in. They are very light and I'm sure they would be plenty warm. In the end I went with another, more comfortable boot as these fit great on my left foot and too tight on my right foot.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Poorly made uppers, tough to break-inVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Michigan on Monday, January 5, 2015Lets start with the good - well insulated and warm. Have not tried the waterproof part. However, the significantly negative part about these shoes is how rigid they are, especially in the shin area. Ended up with bad chaffing on both shins after my first hike (and it was not a long one - had to turn back around after two miles. I don't think the shoes will break in any time soon. Considering returning them which is a shame because I was really excited when I first saw them

4.0 out of 5 stars. Warm and comfortable...Verified Buyer Reviewed by John C from Nebraska on Friday, December 12, 2014I was pleasantly surprised by the fit. I wear a 14B and often have trouble with width but not this time. These boots appear well made. I have walked several miles in them and they provide a good amount of support and comfort. The temperature hasn't been below the teens yet but by all appearances these boots should remain warm down to at least their rating. The only reason I didn't give them a five is rubbing at the very top on both the inside and outside of my legs. I have had this before with some boots but the solution is moleskin until that area is well broken in.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid initial impressionsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New Hampshire on Tuesday, December 9, 2014I've taken these out a couple times now, once on a short winter hike and the other on a snowshoe. On the first hike I had on a pair of microspikes and these boots felt light and bombproof. However, on the way down the insoles started to bunch up in the front of the boot. After the hike I removed the paper-thin inserts and used a pair from my work boots. This did the trick and when I took them for a snowshoe hike/run they were much better. Very light and fast for such a heft boot. My feet were bone dry too.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jackson from Idaho on Saturday, December 6, 2014I use these boots for work and they are some of the best I have had. They are light weight, flexible and they don't over heat my feet. The Gore-Tex makes a huge differance in keeping my feet warm without making them sweat.
