These are great shoes and I ordered a 1/2 size smaller after reading other comments and that fit perfect. There was no discomfort from the start and they are lightweight. I went on a 4 mile hike over rocky terrain the day after I received them with no problems. I do not like bulky hiking shoes that fit around my ankles and these are perfect for my needs. I have since been on 3 other hikes all over 3 to 4 miles in rocky, slippery, wet and mixed terrain and these have worked out perfect. I am sold on this brand and completely satisfied. I would highly recommend these shoes and I just purchased a pair for my daughter after using them.

Hikers don't look as dirty as sneakers over time and are made better. This brand is well made and comfortable right out of the box. I read the size reviews before ordering and followed advise to order half size down. That worked for me.

These shoes look great. The large toe box takes getting used to but otherwise they are exactly what I was looking for. Good support, stylish, and warm.

This shoe is oversized, for some reason, but I'm keeping my 9, which feels like a 9.5 or 10, even so. With thick socks they'll be fine for walking the dogs in the winter. The price was right: Garmont is a great brand and holds up a lot better than the Teva or Kamuk shoes I've had in the past.
