This shoe is oversized, for some reason, but I'm keeping my 9, which feels like a 9.5 or 10, even so. With thick socks they'll be fine for walking the dogs in the winter. The price was right: Garmont is a great brand and holds up a lot better than the Teva or Kamuk shoes I've had in the past.

These shoes look great. The large toe box takes getting used to but otherwise they are exactly what I was looking for. Good support, stylish, and warm.

Hikers don't look as dirty as sneakers over time and are made better. This brand is well made and comfortable right out of the box. I read the size reviews before ordering and followed advise to order half size down. That worked for me.

Sturdy stiff walking shoe. Not for narrow feet. Plan on heavy socks.

These are great shoes and I ordered a 1/2 size smaller after reading other comments and that fit perfect. There was no discomfort from the start and they are lightweight. I went on a 4 mile hike over rocky terrain the day after I received them with no problems. I do not like bulky hiking shoes that fit around my ankles and these are perfect for my needs. I have since been on 3 other hikes all over 3 to 4 miles in rocky, slippery, wet and mixed terrain and these have worked out perfect. I am sold on this brand and completely satisfied. I would highly recommend these shoes and I just purchased a pair for my daughter after using them.

I bought these looking for comfortable shoes to wear to work. I bought a half size smaller but could have gone a whle size down. Will keep them for winter when I can wear bulkier socks and they will be great. They seem suportive and comfortable but haven't spent much time with them yet.

Nice roomy toe box with rubber bumper, like Keens but not as boxy looking. Laces slide nicely through eyelets, making them easy to tighten. Comfortable. I like the low-key design rather than so many that are multi-colored, striped, with strange designs and cut-outs. These are just restful to look down at. They ran big for me. I usually take 10M, got 10.5 to allow for heavy wool socks. Too big. Got 10, still too big. Got an unprecedented 9.5 and they are fine with heavy socks. I'm glad I persisted. Will use these when walking the shelter dogs in wet urban jungle terrain. They seem to have good traction, needed to keep me on my feet when the dogs pull on the leash.

Fit larger than previous Garmont hikers I have owned (which I ordered 1/2 size 'small' as with this pair). Toe box has alot of volume so along with flat feet this would have necessitated insole and thick socks. Decent looking and appear durable. Sent them back disappointed.

Very comfortable shoe, will take this pair and one back up pair on my travels, doesn't get better than this for a walking shoe.

I like the shoes but still can't find the right size. I usually were an 8.5 but will end up with a 7.5 to keep them from sliding off my heels. They really run big, a full size. Maybe you need really thick socks?
