Right out of the box, this Garmont shoe struck me as being very well-constructed and solid. After wearing on several hikes, I am very impressed with the rock-solid feel to these hiking boots. Though they are considered to be "low" hikers, they seem to be a hybrid between a low and a mid - just what I was looking for. I am still breaking them in but all signs point in a positive direction - comfort, support and great vibram tread.

Great for day hikes across various terrain. The best ankle support I've seen in a low-cut hiker. I could even see using these on an overnighter with a moderate load.

Hilly terrain, up and down muddy trails these hold their traction. Trying different insoles and 2 socks for comfortability.
