Love, love these boots, but unfortunately they were just a little tight in the toes. Have a pair of similar Garmont boots in the same size and they fit perfect so I thought these would fit just fine. Wish they had because these are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned.

Replacing a pair of ancient Raichle hiking boots that are no longer made. These were comfortable out of the box. Have taken several 3-4 mile hikes and they are working well, no blisters. Will use for backpacking. Only negative is that my feet get a little sweaty so will try some wicking socks.

I bought these boots for work, which includes a variety of environments, from wetlands to forests, pastures to plowed fields. I've gone through several pairs of "waterproof" boots in the past few years that have quickly lost their waterproofness, even with GTX. I decided I had to get back to basics, with an all-leather boot. I haven't tested the waterproof quality of these boots yet, but am confident they'll perform well. After a long day, I had some soreness on the outside edge of the ball of one foot, but I think I can adjust for that with the lacing (I tend to crank down on the laces, because I hate boots moving around). I wear a 7 or 7.5 and got the 7.5, and with the laces will be able to comfortably adjust for thicker or thinner socks. Good support at footbed and ankle. So far, so good!

I wore these over the continental divide on one of their first trips and my feet felt great and much less fatigued then with other boots I've owned.

I have a very hard time finding boots that fit. I have a wide foot and tend to get blisters on the heels. These boots are wide enough and passed the test on blisters. They have great support and traction, and can handle rough trails. The boot are a little heavy and stiff, but once they're broken in I think they will be just fine. I wish they had a toe rand, the newer version does, but again not a problem . Sierra Trading Post was great to deal with. At first I got a 7.5, and it was too big, they sent a 7 with the express return. It worked out great. I think I finally found the boot I've been searching for for so long. Thanks, Sierra Trading Post
