This boot is wonderful! Right out of the box it was comfortable and just felt right. Stiff enough for carrying heavy loads but not so stiff I can't use it around the yard and walking in the neighborhood. I'm very impressed with them, just wish I had bought an extra pair at that price!!

First day took them on a strenuous hike in mtn conditions with some vertical scrambling in running water and they felt terrific. No break-in time required, although I do recommend nikwax coating before heading out. These are the best boots I've bought in 30 years of hiking/climbing.
