The basic fit of the boot was great. But the tongue bit into the front of my ankle. Since it hurt walking around the house, they didn't make it to a trail test.

I have another pair of Garmont hiking boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, but they are not waterproof (Gortex). I bought these and they fit the same as my other ones! I like that have more room in the ball section of the boot.

I bought an earlier version of these several years ago and they lasted the entire 2000+ miles of the Appalachian Trail. A little heavy, but worth the support and durability.

Bought these to wear on my April week long trip to Yosemite. These are my first pair of "real" hiking boots, so I think I was a bit over-sensitive when trying these out. At first they were stiff and irritated my ankles, however, this was when trying to break them in around the house. They are actually much more comfortable on the trail. Bottom line, great-looking and very sturdy boots. Waterproof (I happily splashed around in puddles and my feet remained warm and dry)with very solid ankle support. I would just recommend giving yourself a good amount of time to break them in and expect a bit of discomfort in the process. Awesome deal!

I have boney, narrow feet with little natural padding, unstable ankles and I have a hard time finding quality hiking boots that feel good. Most hiking boots make my feet and lower legs miserable. These boots felt both comfortable and stable from the first time I wore them! I have to put in custom made inserts, but that was all I needed. I immediately bought another pair in the same size to save for when the first ones finally kick the bucket. I don't ever want to be without them.

I had a pair of Garmont boots already, and I wanted something that was essentially the same but better for winter hiking. These fit the bill - comfy, warm and stable.

I've done 4 day backcountry hikes with these boots numerous times. The only time I ever got blisters was because the whole day was spent doing difficult hikes with steep steep hills and I didn't lace them tight enough. Just make sure you wear good socks and lace them enough, and they are a perfect hiking shoe. Lots of stability (for a klutz like me) and comfy.

I bought the same a my street shoe size - 9.5W. The fit is comfortable and allows room for insoles and thick socks. Great value.

Lots of room in the toe, no pinching, easy to wear in and still blister free. I would buy these boots again in an instant. Super comfortable and lighter than I was expecting. Great ankle support as well.
