Reviewed by Mtn man from WA on Tuesday, December 31, 2013I wear a 10.5 EE in normal boots and decided to order an 11 in these. They were quite narrow ("D" or less) and even with the extra 1/2 size they felt too short for downhill. If you have a wide foot they may not work out for you. Also, you might want to consider ordering up 1 full size from your norm. quality looked good…
Reviewed by VO2 from Ontario on Monday, September 9, 2013I haven't had a chance to put these boots to work yet but first impressions are that they are very comfortable and they fit my foot well. I generally wear a size 10.5 eee or eeee shoe and wanted to get these in a size 11 but STP was sold out so I went with the 10.5. With a light to medium-light weight sock they fit like a glove (snug but not tight or constricting anywhere). Before recieving them, I was a little concerned about the length and width but I'm happy to say that they are wide enough (as long as I don't wear heavy socks) and my feet have some space in the front of the toe box (my feet are 27.5 cm long from back of the heel to the longest toe). The sole has a slight rocker that helps make walking in them easier.
Reviewed by JP from Washington on Sunday, September 8, 2013I bought thr Tower Plus for mt Rainier climb. I usually wear an 11-11.5 but had to order a 12.5 to get a good fit. The first time I wore them for any extended period of time was when we left Camp Muir. Eight hours later my feet were still warm, dry and feeling great despite zero breakin. They worked great with crampons and show little wear after the ascent. Good boots!
One last note, they have a very narrow fit in the sizes offered on Sierra. I hwve narrow feet so no worries.
Reviewed by Bryan Rainier from KY on Sunday, August 18, 2013Just returned from Rainier with these boots and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Far more comfortable and maneuverable than my Koflach plastic boots. No blisters ever or sore spots and kept my feet dry on Rainier and several test runs in the Smokies while taking extended creek crossings to test. Other members on our team had bad blisters with other brands of boots but another member and I used the Garmonts with zero problems. I am super impressed and am now looking for a pair for my wife. Thanks STP
Reviewed by Jimmy Valor from Minnesota on Friday, June 21, 2013Long time STP shopper first time reviewer... And all I can say is WOW! These boots are absolutely amazing. I've owned many boots and these are by far the best I've owned. Out of the box they fit true to their size and require almost zero break in period. They are very supportive in the ankles and will be great through hiking boots for many years. My new favorite brand of boots. Before today I would have said Asolo hands down but Garmont really impressed me. Construction and quality are A+++ Way to go Garmont. I will update the review upon return of my 100 miler backpacking trip.
