“I use these boots for backpacking and day hikes. They are listed as mountaineering boots, but with their light weight makes them a great med/light boot as well. The rock is much stiffer than a light hiker but I prefer this as I am a heavy hiker. Some have complained about the ankle support. It is more of a three quarter boot but once more this is a plus for me. I prefer it.”
