    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I live in Alaska and these are perfect! Spring is late and we still have snow and ice, but it's too warm in the day to wear boots. We also take our shoes off every time we come in our or someone else's house here. These are ideal. Warm, dry, good traction and slip on and off so you don't muck up the house with slush. The color is much nicer than the picture. More of a light lemongrassy green. Uberstylish and look great with about everything; blue, black or brown. The toe box is wide, which is great with socks, but the heel fits nicely. They stay on your fit when you walk and don't flop around. Very light weight for shoes with so much padding and spiky sole.

Took these shoes on an African safari for 10 days. They performed very well. They gave great traction on rocks, sand and everything else. The soles were quiet on hard surfaces. I usually wear 11.5 and could have used a 12, but not unbearable. These shoes are great when hiking but the arch support can be a bit much if just standing around alot. Otherwise I think these are nice shoes.

Really tight for my high arches. It made a huge difference after I had a ski shop mold the liners. Good control, good boot. My boyfriend gave me these boots as a "promise ring". Now I just need some new skis and . . .

This shoe has for the most part, satisfied my requirements. I wear approach shoes all the time. For work and especially for play, which includes hiking and approaching the climb. It feels just a bit too big but, I'm not tripping over it. I really like the flat, ribbed laces! They never come undone!!

These are great trail hikers - comfortable for walking and light jogging. The extra sole over the toes offers protection from stubbing toes! However, laces could be a bit longer, as I wear my shoes loose on long hikes.

I say "not water resistant" for everything from rainshowers to running creek beds. I use this shoe for trail running primarily. They're rather slippery on wet rocks, but have great traction on softer terrain. I like the wrap-around rubber over the toes which prevent stubbed toes as well as snags from tall grasses or thick ground cover. I like the more neutral color combination, too. I also like that my heel doesn't slip out of the shoe and the off-center lacing system. I might also mention that I am female, but purchase men's shoes becuase I have a wide foot, and men's usually come in D standard width. Cannot comment on overall wear, becuase they're still pretty new...but as of now I'm considering a 2nd pair.
