    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I ordered 2 of these in different colors. They are a bit chunky but the colors are lovely. Since they were advertised as being 40 inches long, I anticipated being able to double the necklace around my neck. Well, unless you're 12 years old, you can't do that with this necklace -- so I'm returning it.
