They could pass for dress pants, if they needed to. They're a little baggy, which is fine for my intended use and the waist may be slightly small, but they still fit me OK and at the price I paid for these, they were a great deal. They're 65% polyester, so they may be kind of warm in the summer, but that should also make them wear and launder well. I went back a second time to buy a few more pairs while they're still available. As I said, great for working in the yard, gardening, painting and other rough uses where you don't really care what happens to them.
