About George Simonton Military Walker Coat - Lambswool (For Women)
Closeouts. There's simply not a more stylish place to spend the winter than in George Simonton's Military Walker coat. Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pc Ski Mom from Park City, UT on Monday, July 20, 2015The coat has elegant styling and is made from beautiful fabric but runs quite small. I am a standard 12 but purchased it in a 14 so a winter sweater would fit underneath. Had to exchange for a 16.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kiki from NYC on Tuesday, December 9, 2014This is a fantastic winter overcoat. I am 6'1" tall and it was long enough and fits will through the shoulders. I bought a size up and can wear a suit jacket under the coat comfortably. Not a huge fan of the epaulets and belted cuffs but...
Reviewed by Shoe hunter from New York on Wednesday, November 26, 2014The picture looks good but not on me. I am 5'4,170lbs, full figure from waist down, and I would normally get a 14 in coats (to add layering). I think if you are a much taller person the coat would look better. The top (waist up was too slouchy looking, the arms to long, (kind of made me feel like I had on a bathrobe), too much belt, and the fabric was itchy. I am returning as it did nothing for me

Reviewed by klm in MA from massachusetts on Friday, October 31, 2014First, let me say that the material and construction of this coat are absolutely top notch. Beautiful. But it doesn't fit, and I have no idea who it would fit, it is both too big and too small all at the same time. I'm 5'10", 180 lbs. Am I skinny? NO. Am I fat? Absolutely not. I tend to order larger sizes for coats because I like to be able to move in them when I have a sweater underneath, and designer clothes in general tend to run small, so I ordered a size 18. From the waist down this was a size 18 (rather bulky actually), and too big. Even the shoulder width was adequate. But the arms? They were like a size 10. If you have very narrow shoulders and no muscle at all in your arms, then this is the coat for you. Otherwise, I'd give it a pass. Truly, I have no idea what the designer was thinking when proportioning this.
