I own several Swiss watches and this was a surprise. It has a clear back so you can see the self winding Swiss engineering. The box it comes in was a shock as it was much nicer than some of the more expensive watches that I own from CH.

Perfect economical watch for those "dress watch" suits and occasions.

After researching automatic watches, I stumbled across this one, and I couldn't be happier. This watch has an ETA 2824 movenent that I wanted, so I know that it will be reliable. The quality of this watch is absolutely top notch. It took me a minute to wind it and get it set, then adjust the band, and it has worked perfectly since.

Produced in limited editions of 500 (although similar editions have only slight variations) these GV2 are well built with screwdriver-adjustable bands and a stylish, silver face. (I also have the all black-faced version which is a bit dressier.) If you must have Rolex or Breitling then pay extra for it, but if you want a quality watch with a Swiss automatic movement that can be also be wound by the stem (unlike Japanese auto movements) this is your watch!

This watch is a bargain at this price.The band is extremely high quality, The clasp is adjustable. The case is highly polished and beautiful.And the saphire crystal is fantastic. It shipped in one day and came in a beautiful jewelery box. It works very well as a dress watch or as a casual watch. The swiss movement is an ETA-2836-2 and beats at 28,800 vph(very accurate.)It is much more beautiful than the pictures show. If your wrist is more than 7 3/4 inches you may have a fit problem. Also the water resistance is somewhat suspect. Supposedly 165 ft.;however, the crown is not a screw down crown, and the company literature does not recommend this watch for showering or swimming without a screw down crown. Otherwise this watch is a beautiful representation of swiss watches,well worth the price. Don't miss this one, folks.

It's a lot of money for a watch to be sure. However, the very same 2824 movement can be found in watches costing 2-5 times as much. As the other reviewer stated, this is not a quartz watch: it's not as accurate, costs more, and will stop if not wound daily. So why would anybody want one? Because it was made by the hands of a master craftsman with enough skill to cram a hundred tiny parts into a small case and create an elegant, functional work of art.

This watch is fairly large, and with the display back, it is fairly thick, and very heavy. It is even more sharp looking than in the pictures. What made me decide to return it was the low level of water proof. This is not a divers watch. It has the lowest level of 'waterproof' of the Gevril watches. Considering its size and weight, I expected at least 10atm protection.

This watch is the first Swiss made automatic I have owned. It arrived in working order with a very nice wood jewelry box. The steel band was easy to adjust. I have a small wrist and had to remove several links. (All that was required was two small screw drivers - the same size you would use for adjusting eye glasses). I have been wearing the watch everyday for the past week and have found it to be comfortable despite weighing more than previous watches I have owned. It tells reasonably good time, although, it should be mentioned that its Swiss ETA 2836-2 movement is probably only accurate to +/- 30 sec a day. This level of accuracy was a compromise I was willing to make as I wanted a sweeping second hand (in this case 8 moves/sec as opposed to 1 for quartz) and didn't want pay double or triple the price for a better rated chronograph.

you need to wear the watch at least every other day or the watch will quit. The sell winding feature only last about 2-3 days. The watch looks great and functions well if worn often.
