Giro 2005 Eclipse Cycling Helmet

a high quality helmet at a bargain price

This is a very nice helmet, lightweight, comfortable, and well-ventilated. A bug-screen would be good, but you can't have it all at this price.

year-round road riding

I have a Giro head, my fiance has a Bell helmets shaped head. Whatever shape your head is in keep it in good shape with a helmet. The Giro eclipse strangely enough is lighter than it's next pricier cousin, yet it has plenty of vents to keep you cool calm and collected. And it comes in a bright visible red. I get a new helmet every year or every crash ... whichever happens first. And while I support and like to buy all my gear from my LBS (that's local bike shop, y'all) the prices here can't be beat.

There is no visor on this helmet. I don't think this will be a problem, as I usually use sunglasses anyhow.
