Giro Basis Flash Snowsport Goggle

Closeouts. To get the best possible experience on the slopes, start with the basics, like Giro's Basis snowsport goggles, which offer fog-free and crystal clear optics thanks to the True Sight spherical lens.

  • Persimmon 57 lens is ideal for flat to low light because it filters blue light to boost contrast and increase depth perception
  • Spherical True Sight lenses provide better optics and increase air volume inside the goggle to help prevent fogging
  • Scratch-resistant lens
  • Super Fit engineering provides superior comfort and helmet compatibility
  • 100% UV protection
  • Includes microfiber cloth bag
  • Lens: Polycarbonate
  • Frame: Composite

I purchased these goggles hoping to get a lens that worked better that my current goggles for low light conditions. The lens had a slight blueish tint, and while they were fine for low light, it's wasn't a huge improvement. I had planned to return them but my daughter tried them and loved them! I would recommend them for anyone who wants one goggle for everything. She skied in full sun and snow, and said they were fine for both. I'm continuing my search, and my daughter loves her new goggles.

Ordered the Giro Basis with the spherical persimmon lens, hoping it would integrate well with my Giro G10 helmet. The google seems to be a quality, well-made product, and I like the lens tint. However, despite being an adult google (confirmed this on the Giro website), it was way too small (i.e., touched at the temples but large gap on the forehead). The google was curved for a much smaller face, and consequently did not sit well with my Giro helmet. Exchanged for a Smith Prophecy - much better fit. Would buy Giro again, and STP always, but this is one I would want to try in person first.

Got this because it looks hot (white with red graphics). The lens color is great for all weather, the peripheral vision is not great with the Giro goggles but it looks great with my Giro Chapter helmut.
