“I'm writing in furtherance of my earlier review of the Giro Omen Audio helmet to say that it's everything I'd thought and hoped it would be. I wore this helmet 5-6 hours a day, everyday for a week of downhill skiing in NH. Surprisingly, just about everyone on the slopes was wearing some sort of brain bucket. A few years ago, that wasn't the case, but times have changed and helmets have become essential gear on the slopes, like gloves and boots. Of the brain buckets I saw, the Giro Omen was by far the coolest looking helmet w/ the most venting. This is my first experience wearing a helmet to ski. After a few minutes of wear, I forgot I had it on; it was that comfortable. My peripheral vision was not obstructed, nor did the helmet interfere with the placement of goggles on my face. The SkullCandy audio system paired w/ my iPod shuffle sounded great and didn't cut in and out. SkullCandy should make a quick disconnect for the audio cord, in case the wire is pulled or you need to remove your helmet, but other than that, I had no issues with the helmet or the audio system.”
