Although Giro no longer makes/sells this helmet, it remains a great piece of equipment. It fits very well, is extremely light, and keeps your head cool in hot weather. The helmet is fine overall, so I'll keep wearing it. But the straps don't allow me to hold the front of the helmet firmly in place, such that if I have a hard impact, the helmet may push back off my forehead. Just seems a bit flimsy or poorly designed in that respect.

Very nice and light out of the box. However, I would need to order at least a size up from medium (my head measurements fit within STP medium dimensions for helmets). Since they do not have large in stock I had to return without ever really using the product.

Took a hard crash on pavement breaking 5 ribs, collar bone and shoulder blade. My head hit the pavement, protected by this helmet that literally saved my life! The helmet broke away as designed, and was left with a slight bump on the left-upper side of my head, where the impact was. Will not be riding again for several months due to injuries, but have already purchased another one of these helmets. Believe me, it works! Just ask my doctor... NEVER ride without a helmet!

I had 4 Giro Mountain Biking helmet and this is the lightest and has the best ventilation for summer riding. This is not the 2012 latest version so the roc-lock is the old version which require 2-hand. Since I bought this helmet at great deal, I am not complaining except that the size feel smaller than M size. Another complain is that the visor is loose so I remove it and use it without visor. I think it looks better without visor.

It can be tough to find helmets with room for a pony tail or braid to go through the back instead of under the adjustment band. This one works like a charm though it can take a few tries to practice getting it on.
