Giro Remedy Full Face MTB Helmet

Breaking your jaw sucks, Fits really good, Excellent protection. Its a little warm but thats to be expected, with this kind of helmet. At this Price it was same as my XC lid, made sense to have a lid like this for the occasional lift service/ occasional nasty XC trail that my wife and I do. (Should have bought 2 for the both of us) I would probably even wear it on a trail like Porc Rim in moab, where you don't have too much climbing, and if the weather wasn't too hot.

Overall worth the money. Fell much safer now when bombing down hills....

Excellent helmet, maybe a little heavier but it fells very comfortable. I'm using it every day for normal riding.

My son is wearing this style of helmet now since he just broke his jaw after falling while riding and wearing a half helmet - he says the helmet feels like he has alot more protection, it's light weight and there is plenty of ventilation holes which helps because he is in Florida in the humidity! I'm so glad I ran across this helmet when I started looking for one - was about to buy one that wasn't as light and airy! Great product - just suprised it wasn't offered from more companies with the BMX scene getting bigger!!

Well It's a helmet, It's hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Good fit and finish, Hope never to need to use for crashing.... but for the price you can not do any better.

so far i've only used this helmet once snowboarding, but if that's any indacation then you should buy one too! it's very comfortable, i wore it all day w/ a uu headscarf and never got cold (20 degrees). i broke a piece of the visor in a fall and thats the only part that could be improved, but i think they make the visor like this so it'll brake away in bad falls(which is probably a good idea). allin all an outstanding product and STP is awesome

I purchased this helmet to use on my recumbent trike while winter commuting. The helmet is very comfortable and offers great visibility to the wearer. Combined with ski goggles and a balaklava, I no longer get an "ice cream headach" cruising down hills even on the coldest days. As a commuter helmet, the only negitive thing that I can think of is you can't drink from a "normal" water bottle while riding. You'll need to get a hydration pack system with a tube. Other than that, it's a really good helmet.

To help folks with fitment, I usually wear a small Giro in their conventional XC helmets. But using their fit guide, I'm technically a medium, but just barely at 56cm/22". The upper portion of the helmet that surrounds your head fits just like a typical XC in the Giro line but the cheek pads are a bit tight. Giro offers these in three thicknesses to fine tune the fit. 30mm is standard, and they also offer a 25mm and a 35mm. Overall, a great helmet, with plenty of strength for such a light weight, while still offering a decent amount of ventilation. You need to be realistic about the ventilation though. While it doesn't flow air like a roadie lid, it offers much, much more protection. FYI, my small weighs 2lbs 5oz, so if you went with the more expensive carbon fiber model, you'd only save ~5oz. Also, you can easily remove the visor and strap a light to the top where the front vents are, so you can still do midnight bombing runs without sacrificing FF protection.

I finally purchased a full-face helmet, and this one is perfect.
