“Giro recommends replacing their helmets every 3 years due to both wear and tear and polystyrene foam degradation. The helmet I received was manufactured in February 2005. Upon confirming with Giro that this helmet would not optimally protect my head in the event of a crash, I sent it back: I cycle daily in the city of Boston and need to have the best safety equipment available. I do not recommend buying this helmet due to the age of the one I received. My first review stating these facts was removed by STP.”
