I HAVE A GIRO PNEUMO HELMET SIZE SMALL AND IT IS A PERFIT FIT...THIS ONE WAS SURPRISING WAY TO SMALL BUT GOOD FEATURES FOR THE PRICE....I WOULD ONLY BUY IT AS A IN STORE PURCAHSE IN ORDER TO GET A CORRECT FIT.

I have used another helmet for 10 years and it has always moved around on my head. This helmet feels like it was made for my head and the ventilaion is wonderful. I do have a small head

I just picked up this helmet for my wife and she loves it! The quality and fit are great. It's very secure and looks very nice. Not big and bulky like some other helmets. There are plenty of vents and the padding is very soft. If you're in the market for a nice bike helmet, then don't pass up this incredible deal on a superb helmet from Giro!

I love that this helmet doesn't feel bulky. It has lots of air vents and I love the visor.

I have been stuck in the past buying kids helmets from the local shop to fit my small head. This helmet is perfect in every way. Looks cool, fits perfectly, and is a super buy. I have one I wear, and one extra for when it wears out. Thanks Sierra, for a great item!

Giro recommends replacing their helmets every 3 years due to both wear and tear and polystyrene foam degradation. The helmet I received was manufactured in February 2005. Upon confirming with Giro that this helmet would not optimally protect my head in the event of a crash, I sent it back: I cycle daily in the city of Boston and need to have the best safety equipment available. I do not recommend buying this helmet due to the age of the one I received. My first review stating these facts was removed by STP.

While the helmet seemed well made and up to the usual standards for a Giro product, I found the fit to be completely odd. I usually wear a size small (Giro's 'youth' size fits almost perfectly, just a tiny bit too snug) so I wasn't expecting the goofy 'bowl-cut' fit of this helmet. It fit well in circumference but was much too short in the crown; there was easily an inch of space between the tops of my ears and the bottom of the helmet. The fit might be fine for someone more petite proportionally (I'm 5'6"), but I needed to return it. Fit aside, it's a really nice looking, understated helmet without a lot of graphics and other hoo-ha (I ordered it in black.) Yes, I would recommend this to a friend... if that friend had an unusually tiny head.
