Great helmet for cold weather conditions. No vents.

A good helmet. No places for rain/wet snow to melt through on the top. But, the sides around front bow way in making it awkward to get on/off. Once you have it on, it's comfortable. the padding in the back seems to be a pressure fit - slides in and out. Also a little odd. Had this same helmet in a prior version and won't lie - liked the older version better. This one seems more cheaply made - don't expect it to hold up as well.

This is a comp helmet so the carbon fiber continues along the ear. It is a great fit without a beanie on and lightweight.

I do not ski much (I may start again)...I bought these for winter cycling. I used them for the first time the other day, and the helmet is great. I would suggest going with a size larger than your normal cycling helmet size, as I did (I cannot speak for there sizing in the ski helmet sizing circles). As these are downhill helmets that meet downhill ski racing requirements, they do not have any vents (I read this after doing a Google search), so be prepared for lack of ventilation. They have a 1-1/2" wide helmet strap groove designes for Giro SuperFit Goggles, but many ski goggles have a 2" strap. However, my ski goggles with a 2" strap fit perfectly (just a wee bit of overlap up and over the helmet strap groove). THESE HAVE INCREDIBLE BUILD QUALITY.

Top of the line. Great, light weight helmet. Nicer liner than the Giro Talon and similar styled race helmets. Carbon fiber/ fiberglass shell offers better protection than plastic shelled helmets. Does not have any vents in the shell or removable vent covers. Vents did not do much in other giro race helmets, so not a big loss.
