My teamate and I each wore one of these for a 12 mile mud/obstacle run event we did in November. It was 45 degrees out and as part of the course we jumped into 40 degree water. These caps were excellent. The stayed on (when we jumped 10ft into the lake I had to hold it on) and kept our heads warm...

I plan to use this cap as a ski helmet liner on the coldest of ski days. I think it will be great. It is thin enough and fitted enough to not be a problem under the helmet but looks like it will add enough warmth to help out in sub zero qweather.
