My teamate and I each wore one of these for a 12 mile mud/obstacle run event we did in November. It was 45 degrees out and as part of the course we jumped into 40 degree water.     I plan to use this cap as a ski helmet liner on the coldest of ski days. I think it will be great. It is thin enough and fitted enough to not be a problem under the helmet but looks like it will add enough warmth to help out in sub zero qweather.
