This a fantastic winter weather coat, the only objection i have is that the arms seem a bit short in length...another 1/2inch in the arm length, and I would not be able to find a single bad thing to say.

Not as heavy and thick as I expected, but on the other hand it is much dressier and the fabric is smoother textured and cut less baggy than I thought it would be. Sleeves could be a little bit longer (I am 6"2) but the lenght is just right so I'm happy I chose this over the version for tall men. If it had an inside pocket it would be a 5 star product.

I have been looking for a Gloverall duffle for a long time, but available sizes in STP are usually too large for me. Finally stumbled on a 36 and ordered it. Design as expected: perfect as per the idea I have of a duffle coat. Unlined. Who cares about lining when dealing with melton wool? Two griefs: - Even though I wear a 36, it feels too wide. I still have enough place to wear a jacket or a heavy sweater underneath. A bit baggy really, and even though duffles should be baggy, it would have been perfect with a 34 instead of 36. - the colour I chose was 56% wool / 10 % cashmere because that was the one available in my size. Certainly lighter, but I would have prefered the "classic" 80% wool. Don't really care about weight as long as I'm kept warm. Overall a good buy for the price.

I bought this coat because I expected it to be a warm and rather heavy top layer that would protect me from the cold Chicago weather. I researched this brand and type of coat extensively. What I received was a pretty nice coat with a good fit and very stylish, however, it was very light and not warm at all. This coat simply did not fit my needs for a warm winter coat. If you are looking for a nice coat for fall or spring then this might be it, but it does not provide enough warmth for winter. Keep in mind, I bought a camel colored one and it did not have the same fabric content or labeling as the one shown at the Gloverall website.

    Arm opening uncomfortable

The only thing I did not like about this coat is that the arm openings (where the sleeves meet the shoulder)are uncomfortable. The fabric bunches at the shoulder.

This is the coat made in England by the same people who have long make it for the British Navy. Thus it is classic in looks and quality, and, very important to me, NOT made in China like almost every other item of clothing these days. Its dense wool gives it warmth without excess weight. I worried that it had no zipper beneath the toggles and not overly large overlap in front, but it keeps cold air out nicely. I'm 6-2 and took a chance on a regular since they did not have my size in long, but even though another inch on the sleeves would be welcome, they are adequately long. The hood is nice to have and lies very flat when not in use.

It has been a cold and snowy winter in Canada, the coat is warm for walking, comfortable in the car. I would have liked a zipper down the front.
