Gloverall Classic Duffle Coat (For Men)

gloverall is a well made coat. i was very dissappointed to send it back. i am a 42 in american sizes. it appears i might be a 44 in english sizes. the sleeves were a bit short. i don't know if that should be the case. i would love to try a 44 in that color and length. so IF YOU CAN FIND ONE IN 44, or IF YOU THINK I SHOULD GIVE THE 42 ANOTHER SHOT. i really want one. and i rather pay your prices, even if it isn't as cheap as the one your were selling. i know i can go right to gloverall but i appreciate how service driven you are.

Very pleased with this coat, absolutely fits the bill, a comfortable, warm, light weight and good looking winter coat.

Bought this coat as a gift for my husband. He loves it already. Fantastic quality, warm and good looking. He had his former Glverall coat for more than 15 years and it is still nice looking. Now he´s looking forward to look smart without freezing for another 15 years!

I love this jacket! I can wear as casual (with jeans and sweater) or with a sport coat & tie.

30 years ago I traded a Gloverall Duffle coat to a guy in the office for his miniature Dachshund puppy. He was being assigned to Adak Island and needed it more than I did in Anchorage. It was a great coat and the best dog I ever had. I swore I'd buy another Gloverall someday. The coat will stand up to the worst weather and yet can be worn comfortably in milder temperatures. Whether you're going out to the ballgame or heading in to the office, this coat will fit right in. You can't beat Gloverall's duffle coat for versatility and quality.

I still have my original Gloverall duffle coat that I purchased over 35 years ago......I still wear it when it snows! I have wanted to purchase a new one and saw these at the Sierra Trading Post. I'm 6'3 1/2 (concern over slleve length) and they did not have a tall size in my proportion (44). I did want the coat, so I took the chance on a 44 regular and was pleasantly surprised. The coat fits perfectly! The differences between this coat and the traditional coat that I wore as a teenager in the 1960's are that the horned toggles used to be unfinished wood and the leather lacing used to be white rope (jute). I would prefer the original wood and jute; however, those minor millenium updates do not take away from this marvelous coat. It is not quite as heavy as my former coat; however, it is quite substantial and very close to the older model. This IS the Gloverall classic duffle coat that has been around for the past 50 years. You will not be able to buy a coat of this quality at this price anywhere else. There are other imitations of the classic duffle; however, this is the real McCoy. Some of the colors offered here are a different combination of wool/nylon/polyester blend that results in a different fabric, weight, and appearance. I purchased the chocolate brown color which IS the original style. Make sure that you do your research on each model before ordering. It may be helpful to call and speak to a customer service rep for clarification to be sure that you are ordering the classic model with the heavy wool exterior and the contrasting "blanket" lining. I'm thrilled to have a brand new version of my most favorite styled casual winter jacket/coat. At these prices, I just might buy one in four or five colors.........I love it!!!!!!!!
