Bright lantern and flashlight work well both at homea snd when camping.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by gundrted from Denver, CO on Friday, May 30, 2014First off the description is a little miss-leading. It is NOT rechargeable. Its only rechargeable if you buy rechargeable batteries and charge them separately. You can not recharge batteries in the flashlight. If the description was accurate I would have rated it at 5 stars.
I got this light for my child to use camping and in the house. It works great, seems durable and is very usable by a six year old.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Meeechigan Man from Michigan on Friday, April 18, 2014I have bought three of these. They are average brightness for a high-brightness LED. The large size is an assett when you want something you can really grab. My elderly Mother likes the large diameter for her older hands.
This thing is way too large for camping.
Reviewed by PacNW Mike from PacNW on Saturday, March 29, 2014This is a bright light that works well as a flashlight and a lantern. However it has one major flaw. The hood that slides back and forth to change from spot to lantern won't lock in either position. It continually flops around. A royal PITA. Since I mostly use it as a flashlight I just duck taped it in that position.
Can't recommend it.
Reviewed by Camping Friend from Utah on Thursday, February 27, 2014When I bought the Goal Zero's Chubby LED flashlight/lantern I had to fuss with it to get it to work. I thought maybe it was the batteries, but they tested fine. I use this flash light in my bedroom to make sure I don't step on one of dogs at night.
