Gottmann Wool Roll Hat (For Women)

It is warm, dressier than a beanie. I like that it is not, a one size fits all, they do not usually fit me.

I really like this hat. Will be warm for cold weather.

The search for a winter hat takes a long time if you have a large head and can't wear the one-size-fits-all variety. I don't like the silly "trapper" style and hate the way I look in skull caps. The beauty of this hat is that it has a definite shape, reminiscent of a 1930s style. Just pull it down in back (as another reviewer advised) and you won't be a ringer for the Cat in the Hat. I like the brim flipped up (face-framing!), but could imagine leaving it down in a snowstorm. Because I live in a warm-weather state, I can't speak to the warmth of the hat (bought for trips back East). But style-wise, it would work for casual and dressy occasions. I would size up if in-between two sizes.

Wear it pulled down close to the face, like a cloche is supposed to be. Warm but not the least bit itchy. I wish it came in more colors.

This feels very warm, and looks cute in a whimsical sort of way. I read the "Cat in a Hat" comment in another review here, and so almost everytime I put it on, I laugh, wondering if I look like a Dr. Suess character! But I don't really care, since the hat is adorable and keeps me warm.

This is a really nice hat. I receive many compliments on it during the winter season. Comfortable, but could have a little more stretch to it. It's cute, warm and comfortable.

It is very cold first thing in the morning so this will truly come in handy to keep my head warm after having gotten a recent, drastic hair cut.

Great colors; I bought the black and charcoal grey. Rather too expensive for what it is although the hat is good quality.

Attractive for a night out, yet also works well with casual clothes/travel outfit. The retro styling (1930's) really is fetching and is accentuated by the quality wool. The reviews of others here really helped me with the fit (I was about to return the hat until I read them!). Pull it DOWN OVER YOUR EARS and pull the back down with the front a little higher so you can see. Then squish the top against your head to make the ruched fabric sit properly. This is how you avoid the (yes, I'll say it) cat-in-the-hat look. The hat is slightly more snug than ideal (I measure a 21.75" and ordered a Med), but I think it will be fine and may give a little in time anyway.
