Golden Bear The James Lambskin Coat - Insulated (For Men)

Casual dress with jeans & sweater. Ball cap. Or as a topcoat with suit and tie. Fedora.

This is the third Golden Bear jacket I've purchased from Sierra. Frankly, I bought another leather jacket (not that much use in South Florida, but I do travel alot) because I caught an 80% off retail[...] promotion. When the jacket arrived I was impressed by the soft, supple feel of the leather. I got the black jacket which has subtle brown contrasting stitching and brown leather accents. The jacket is very light, but the Thinsulate lining should keep you toasty (along with a light cashmere sweater and scarf) into the high 30's/low 40's. I also like the length as it covers a shirt worn with the tails out. Lambskin is very soft, but not as durable as other leathers. This is not a heavy duty, everyday work jacket. However, if you're looking for a classic styled, light weight leather jacket for casual occasions on a nippy day, you can't go wrong.

I already have 2 or 3 Golden bear jackets because I like GB leather, style and craftsmanship. I have purchased and returned a few more over the years as well when they didn't work for me. (Thank you STP.) This one definitely works and is now in my coat rotation. (Never had a coat rotation before...just one more reason so many people want to be me.) No, not really. I just wish Golden Bear coats were made in the USofA because that would make these great coats truly spectacular.

Nice jacket, well made and stylish. At first I couldn't believe it had any Thinsulate, but then I found the label. It's fine, just not really warm, but a beautiful jacket that I'll wear a lot. Nice leather.
