It is a very made jacket with lots of pockets and it very comfortable. I have not worn it skiing yet but it feels like it would be warm and there is room to add layers if need be. For being a black jacket with gray accents, I think it is stylish. I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it. Fast shipping and great service from STP. Yes the zipper is on the left side. I'm OK with that.

I'd rather add layers anyway because if a jacket is too warm and you begin to sweat there aren't any options for you other than putting on a lighter coat. I will be bringing layers with me for the slopes, though. The one "flaw" (if you can call it that) is that the hood cannot be rolled up and stowed around the back collar. However, It is removable. But I would have much preferred being able to simply unroll it and pop it up on my dome rather than having it flap around behind me or retrieve it out of my pocket and remove my jacket (and my gloves) to put it back on while on the side of a trail, at the lodge or at the base of the chair lift. Sorry, guys, but that'll cost ya 1 star.

Reviewed by skiing vet from New York on Tuesday, December 04, 2012I'm 5"11" and 180lbs. and the 52 fit me well. Jacket is loose enough that I can easily wear another layer on those really cold days but not too loose. Jacket allows for nice freedom of movement and looks sharp.
