4.0 out of 5 stars. Don' believe size listingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rick B. from Maine on Wednesday, July 29, 2015Pants seem well made and worth the money but had to return due to size. Listing said 44 to 46" waist for the 2xl but
Really was 38" to 40". I was 2" away from zipping up and I have a 43" waist. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. OK build qualityReviewed by Jon the Skier from Wisconsin on Saturday, September 20, 2014I purchased these pants to replace a pair of Patagonia ski pants that have worked faithfully for the past 8 seasons. My criteria for new ski pants were; insulated, waterproof, durable fabric, and reinforced cuffs to reduce the chance of cutting the pants on the ski edge. These pants appeared to fit the bill and then some. They met all my criteria on paper in addition to having the powder guard around the waist. I ordered the pants according to the sizing conversion chart. I'm 6-2" and 185lbs. I ordered a size 54 to allow for plenty of room for layers. In addition to all of this I was able to score them for $225, a stellar deal in my mind.
My first impression of the pants when I unboxed them was how light they were, and how durable the fabric didn't appear to be. The edge protectors were cheesy. They are a spongy membrane that is inserted into a pocket on the inside of the ski pants. The fabric on the outside of the pant is the same thin Gore-Tex material as the rest of the pant. The sizing ran small. Even ordering a size over on the chart yielded a pant that that had no room for thermal layers.
In the end I decided to return the pants for a full refund, and spend twice the amount on another pair of Patagonia ski pants.
