We were thinking about going with a larger free-standing fire-pit but decided smaller was better to keep a fire under control. This will fit better with four chairs on the smaller patio we decided to go with as well. In the part of the country we live in we don't need it so much for warmth but ambience. This was easy to put together with basically simple tools and looks exactly like the picture. We love the copper accent and it's different than anything we were finding in the "big box" stores. It's perfect for us.
