I really like these socks. They are well made with a very tight knit. They do not have a cushioned insole type addition in them like some other socks sometimes do(...think smartwool and bridgedale here...). They are more like a liner sock which i prefer in the spring and summer months with lighte...

Bought these just to wear around the house in the winter. The material seems to be of good quality and the socks fit well. I haven't hiked in them, so I'm not qualified to judge how they'd be out on the trail.

Perhaps I'm spoiled by my Smartwools but these, so far, aren't doing anything for me. They are much lighter than my 'light' smartwools in the cushion department, and also thinner. Definitely not something to wear in cooler weather. That being said, I'll hold off and see how they work come spring.

Hubby loves these for summer hikes to keep feel on the cool side and doesn't sweat feet. Fall and winter the socks are a welcome for lounging as well for the fish house. Can't go wrong with Merinon Wool ~ non-itch.
