Goodhew Carlsbad Socks - Merino Wool, Lightweight (For Men)

Good fit for my size 7 feet, so may feel small to others. Height was good for over-the-calf, and the top elastic not too tight. I'll be curious to see how they hold up over time. At first wear, very comfortable fit and stylish.

If these socks were consistently sized,they would be 5-star.

Bought these for my husband for Christmas. He wears a size 12. These were listed as an XL so I assumed they would fit him. I will keep them for myself and buy him some new socks as these fit me, a women's size 9!! I don't believe these socks come in any larger sizes. So if you're looking for an XL men's sock, these are not the socks for you.

Too soon to know about durability which is to me the most important.

A wonderful buy, but as warned in other reviews there is the flaw of the heel slipping. I figured since I'm 10.5 max I'd be fairly ok. Not that I'm unhappy with the socks, but I was definitely wrong. Given circumstances I can't say much for durability as these are too nice to use with my most often worn shoes (work; beaters). Though I don't think they'll wear out in a flash either. Only time and opportunity to use with better shoes will tell. I had purchased a buy one/get one 2 pack of Ferrera/Carlsbad, and in turn purchased these specifically. But they don't quite equal out to them. They're somehow different...it's strange. So I then ended up buying 6 pairs of these. More confused than unhappy. Wonderfully soft and granted your feet can certainly feel cool from thinness...but I live in the desert. So no qualms over that. After all is said and done, Multiple pros definitely outweigh 1 con.

I like Goodhew Socks as much as my SmartWool, but these are a better price.

Sizing a joke. The average man's shoe size is a 10. The socks billed as M/L, but my own fault for not reading the small print where it said, fits sizes 7-10. Go figure. If 10 is avg shoe size, how do 7-8 fit into the picture.
