    I like these socks a lot, but they're very snug at the top so I'm afraid it will be uncomfortable to wear them pulled up... which is how you have to wear them to show off the cute design to best advantage! Sad! But that makes them an excellent choice of socks for those with very slender calves. Mine are 11.5" around where the top of these socks hit--a little below halfway between ankle and knee.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I would love these socks if not for the fact that the tops are so tight I can only wear them for a couple of hours. I have long, slender legs, but these socks come up to where my calf begins, and cut miserably. Even if I wear them scrunched down they're too tight (and I repeat, my ankles and calves are slender.)
