Goodhew Expedition Socks - Heavyweight, Merino Wool (For Men and Women)

Merino wool was as advertised very soft, but I found the sock did not keep your feet warm while sitting around in the house which is what I was hoping it would do and it was tight around the calf. I ordered the large size 10-13 men's. Make sure you want this sock because if you do not the shipping and return shipping cost you $5.95 each way if you return it. Delivery was on time. Made in the USA, thanks Sierra Trading Post! These are outstanding heavyweight wool socks, perfect mid-calf height, are easy to put on and they stay up. I bought them for daily use because my feet freeze easily due to a neurologic condition. I've worn them doing surveys on arduous long walks in rough terrain during hot weather, and typical of merino wool, they worked great. Outstanding for moisture control and temp regulation, both cold and warm.

I always buy these when they are available.

I bought these for my husband who LOVES them. He wears them in the winter, when he goes fishing, or whenever he goes somewhere where it's cold. I had bought him another pair a couple of years ago and it was fantastic to get them at such a good price again now.
