I'm anxious about how durable these socks might be, but the quality is very good. I use on shoes that are a bit too tight for medium-thick socks and they do a great job of wicking and cushioning when I use on short hikes.

They feel great - not to thin, not too thick, no itch whatsoever, no feeling of the seams, etc. They stay up, wash well and wear a long time. These are quite possibly the best socks I have ever worn.

Reviewed by Denver Dog Walker from Colorado on Saturday, March 09, 2013The sock has a fluffly feel like cotton but is nice and warm. Unfortunately the upper part way too tight. I don't have large calves but have to turn the sock down to prevent it from being too constricting.

Answer Assuming you are wearing a boot or shoe with a breathable upper, you'll be fine. I prefer light wool in hot conditions more than any synthetics I have used. When I hike in hot conditions, I try to pack a spare pair of socks and change them at rest breaks if the socks I'm wearing are uncomfortably damp. These will dry pretty fast.
