These ARE incredible socks! They are so wonderful that I put in a follow-up order for several more pairs while they were still available. These socks fit really well and don't creep down into the shoe like most of my sport socks do. I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 shoe and the small size fit perfectly, even after washing. I was concerned that the wool would be itchy or make my feet sweat, neither was the case. And at the end of the day when I removed the socks, there was no indent left in my ankle by the elastic in the top band. And they stayed up! Sigh...it was a shame to take them off they were so comfy. I turned them inside out to wash and dry, as recommended, and they looked great and kept their shape. If you like the look of shortie style socks, but hate the way they fit, give these a try. You will not be disappointed!
