He really liked them...makes a perfect suit sock....They are comfortable not itchy like some wools. these are a great year round sock not to thick or thin just the right weight!merino wool keeps your feet warm in the winter and wicks moisture in the summer...We loved them!..And of course always from Sierra Trading Post a great price!

These are really nice socks. I accidentally dried them on high the first time I washed them and thought they had shrunk & I'd ruined them, but they stretched right back out. These socks are lighter and thinner, and have a more pronounced arch band, than the Windsor, which has a more padded sole. I bought 6 pairs of these and 6 pairs of the Windsor as I find life easier when my socks are easy to match from the laundry.

I'm a woman buying these to wear with trousers at the office. The rib is very wide around the calf; it only begins partway up the ankle, so with low shoes, the different knit between the foot and the rib is visible. The black color is really nice, the fit is great, and the sock is very soft with no itch. Toe seam is minimal, no obvious weak spot in heel. These socks come all the way up to my knees with a little fabric still to spare (but may shrink when washed).
