    These are thinner than I expected, but are still warm. The elastic is a little too tight at the top, but it certainly keeps them from slipping down. I would consider ordering a size up.

    I am preparing for a trip which involves 3 days of tramping by walking 3-8 miles twice a week. I'm breaking in new hiking boots and the Goodhew socks are a terrific fit. Can't rate the durability until I get through this trip but I expect they will be fine.

    Far too lightweight to be called midweight hiking socks. They are comfortable and stretchy. But they simply won't offer enough cushioning for real hiking. Buy these for wearing around - they are nice socks, but not for serious hiking or climbing.
