“Comfortable, but durability issues”

“I purchased these socks to be used as work socks in an office environment. The socks looked good, did not bunch and stayed up well on my leg. My complaint with them is their durability. After wearing them once to work, I turned them inside out and washed them according to the manufacturers suggested procedures. The next time I put them on I noticed holes on the shin the diameter of a Bic pen and significant pilling. Perhaps the pilling would not be that big of an issue in an outdoor environment, however; the change in appearance was enough to ensure I would not be able to wear them to the office and the holes in the shins was enough to retire the socks for good.”
