Goodhew Windsor OTC Dress Socks - Merino Wool (For Men)

I'm a woman who bought these to wear with trousers at the office. The stripe is much more dramatic on the leg than it looks in the picture. Also, the sock is not solid black: there's a brownish color in the yarn between the ribs. It's a really nice looking sock, though. Sock comes all the way up to the top of my calf/shin. Very comfortable with no itch.

The socks are designed very well though they do shrink if not hand washed then air dried. To be safe order the next size up.

These are really nice socks. I accidentally dried them on high the first time I washed them and thought they had shrunk & I'd ruined them, but they stretched right back out. These socks have a more padded sole and a thicker, warmer leg than the Milan socks. I bought 6 pairs of these and 6 pairs of the Milan as I find life easier when my socks are easy to match from the laundry.

When I read the earlier review indicating that these looked like women's socks, I knew this was exactly what I (female) was looking for. My feet are always cold, and I wear wool socks 9 months out of the year and it is difficult to find thinner trouser style women's wool socks that will fit with a dressier shoe. These are just perfect, with a nice subtle pattern. They felt scratchy out of the package to my hand, but felt fine on the feet. thanks to the previous reviewer! Have only washed once (inside out as instructed) so can't rate durability.

I bought this for warmth and my husband wears a men 10 size socks. We ordered such a size 10 but it feels like a men 12-13 size. We would have love to keep the socks if they had fitted him. I would rate it a 5 if it were true to size.
