Seems lightweight, winter will tell.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Feels lightweight, should be fine for active wear. For moderate cold. (but I'm from Minnesota, we're used to having to dress WARM.) Nice baselayer, have been happy with other Gordini products so am confident that this will be another fine product. Winter will tell.
